Namburg Farm stay




 This morning we packed down as free our farm night. It was very windy. We had breakfast in the camp kitchen and Petra was very excited because we will do our shopping today at Aldi. No Aldi for the last 6 months.,

The drive to Geraldton was nice but we had very strong headwinds which our fuel economy went up to 21.5l/ 100 km. 

At Aldi we spent around 45 min with shopping. On top of our list was chocolate and some other groceries. Quick fuel stop and we headed to Perth.

Alex our friend from Cairns lives in the north of Swan Valley. We arrived around 3 pm, unpacked parts of the caravan and our bikes because the next day we had an appointment for the caravan. 

Quick dinner with Chilli con carne and some nice chats. First time since over 6 months that we slept in a house and normal bed.

Whyalla/ Shingle beach

 We left this morning this little town Waroonka and drove via Port Augusta onto the Eyre Peninsula to an important steel and iron ore production area Whyalla. It was a normal drive nothing exciting. 10 km before Whyalla we turned left to a free camp spot called Shingle beach.  For the next 4 days our home. Straight at the beach front, 10 meters from water and windy 🌬. We made a sightseeing tour through town, very interesting, along the beach and the shopping centre. We cooked on a windless day green peas stew with bacon & sausage, Indian lentils daal and sliced pork in mushrooms cream sauce with truffle polenta. All yummy.  Nights have been windy, clear and we could see all the ⭐️. Nice quite beach, rubbish bin, no toilet. We enjoyed it very much
