Darwin 2

After a late breakfast we drove to some of our favourite shops to do some restocking or additions to our work shop ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜˜ Returning to the van Petra started to change and fix some window frame screws. Weather is great , hot around 35°, we love it. Afternoon we went to the Mindil beach for browsing around, dinner and the sunset on the beach. Awesome. Playing cards and late bedtime

We left on Saturday morning for Darwin, a 4.5 hrs drive. Stopped in Kathrine to buy some meat and discovered that we had no power in the van again. We reached Darwin, setup camp and fixed the issue. Some cable lose like before. Cable tie and fixed.  Did some drinks shopping and had our first BBQ on our ziggy. Yummy. Early night

This morning we got in contact with Martin from Ezytrail and had a chat about our electric issue. He told us to cut out the top lid and should have a check on the connections.  We went for a walk and Petra couldn’t get away from the idea that we should try to repair it by our self. We called a local car electrician and he said he will be in 2 hrs there.  So Thomas cut out the lid and could see straight away the issues. 1 Relais had no more screw and a power cable was lose. Fixed everything and what surprise we had power. Canceled all our appointments and where pretty proud of us what we achieved. Went for a swim and later for dinner and some beers

This morning Chris came over and had a close look ๐Ÿ‘€ into  our issues. Thomas was repairing in the meantime with a rivet  gun some broken rivets on the rear folding door under the watch of Chris. He could locate the issue but not fixed it.  We booked in a car electrical workshop in Darwin for the 01.09.2022 to solve the issue.  Went shopping and then to the nearby hot spring.  How good was this . After a 5 min walk we jumped into the 32° warm water and floated down the little steam, 3 times around 2 hrs it was so good that we extended our stay for 3 nights. What do we need more? Power to the fridge, cold drinks, hot springs and a relaxing time before we head direction Darwin

Left very early Lorella because we had a long day of driving before us around 570 km, including 130 km rough gravel roads.  Half way we met a couple at the roadhouse with the same caravan like us. Had a chat about issues and they wanted to go on some rough roads without any car upgrades. Ambitious.  We arrived around 5 pm at our destination, setup and asked a caravan mechanic if he can have a look the next day on our caravan.  Went out for dinner in a near by restaurant, was good and drinks cheap.

After an early breakfast we drove to Nanny’s retreat. An amazing spring around 50 km away. Hard drive on all types of roads, a deep water crossing and 600 m low range gear driving. After another 800 m walk we reached the spring. We have been alone there. Only nature and us. Later came more people and we went back to camp and started to pack down. Quick dinner wit all the leftover and then bedtime

After a not so good night we had breakfast and decided to go on our first tour to a hot springs in the bush. We drove through sand roads, creek beds, water crossings and corrugated roads for over 1 hrs until we reached our destination. Quick change of cloth and went in this natural hot spring with 2 million flies ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ After 15 min we left and drove back but much faster then earlier.  Back at camp we had some drinks and went in the Magical spring near the main house. Beautiful and warm. Stayed for 1 hrs.  Early dinner and bedtime
